Care

Holland Lops are inside rabbits and need to have their cage in a warm place.  It works well if there is one spot with a blanket on the bed of the cage, and one spot with a litter box. The litter box needs to be cleaned at least once a week so the rabbit has a clean space.

Holland Lops need to be fed daily, and leaving a small trough with feed or hay will cover that. They need a water bottle that will clip to the cage, and is easy to operate. Water bottles with the ball nozzle will allow more water to flow through the nozzle, and is often easier to operate. Holland Lops like to receive a variety of foods, and simple garden items are fine. Aloe Vera, apple seeds, pear seeds, Ivy, Daffodil, Tulip bulbs, Mustard root, carrot tops, and beans are poisonous to Holland Lops,
DO NOT FEED THEM THOSE PLANTS.

Holland Lops can breed any time of year and can be weaned after a few weeks. When a doe is pregnant there needs to be a box with blankets in the cage for her litter. On average, 3 kits are born in one litter, but not always. Holland lops will usually live for about 6 years, but can live more or less depending on health and how well taken care of they are. When they're almost full grown, tape a quarter to the inside of both ears for a few days. This should keep their ears down naturally with their ear structure. If you plan on show breeding them, you should have their tag number tattooed on the inside of their ear, also. ONLY DO THIS IF YOU KNOW HOW TO AND CAN DO IT WITHOUT HARMING THE RABBIT OR GET IT PROFESSIONALY DONE.
